An Update for EDII & RD Applicants

Just a quick update for Early Decision II candidates: The admission committees for our campuses in New York and Shanghai have concluded their selection processes and our admission committee in Abu Dhabi will do the same in a matter of hours. As a result, admission decisions will be available on our website on Monday, February 15 at 5pm Eastern Standard Time. For directions on how to access your admission decision, visit this page of our website.

Regular Decision candidates should be sure to complete their financial aid applications by the same date (February 15). All Regular Decision candidates (regardless of their campus of interest) must complete and submit a CSS Financial Aid Financial Aid Profile (and Non Custodial Parent Profile if applicable) by this date. Additionally, applicants to our campuses in New York and Shanghai who are U.S. citizens and permanent residents must also submit a Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). More specific details are located here.

  • Hello!

I am a transfer applicant and was wondering if you knew a ballpark idea of when notifications for transfers would be sent out?
    Thank you!

  • Hi Mr.Abbot,

I am an applicant for NYU ED2 admissions, and I just received my decision from my primary college. However, during the admissions process, the application said: “if we cannot admit you to the school, college, or program above, we may consider you for alternate options”. My primary college was Stern, which I was rejected from, and my alternate option was CAS, which the portal does not show. I was just curious whether the Stern rejection implies that I was rejected from CAS as well, or if CAS decisions will be sent out shortly.

    Thanks,
    Suriya

  • Hi. An admissions recently came to my school and sadly I was unable to attend. Since they catered to seniors as well at the meeting does that mean regular decision applicants are still eligible to apply?

  • Hi Mr.Abbot,

I’m also an applicant for NYU ED2 admissions and I received a rejection from my primary school, CAS. Does this say anything about the other schools I applied for such as Gallatin? (Very similar to Suriya’s question above!)

Also, will decision letters be coming in through snail mail physically any time soon?

    Thanks,
    Baljit Kumar
