Greenwich Village has been a sea of purple this week! From the purple Empire State Building to all of the graduates in their purple caps and gowns, NYU is truly violet this week. Parents, friends, and families have come far and wide to celebrate with our graduates and they get to see their students graduate at some of the most iconic New York City locations. Our university commencement took place at Yankee Stadium yesterday and our school specific ceremonies are in theaters like the Beacon, Avery Fisher Hall, and Madison Square Garden.
This year was a particularly special graduation year because I received my Master’s Degree from the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development. When I wasn’t traveling the world meeting with prospective students and reviewing applications, I could usually be found in Bobst Library doing my schoolwork! A few other admissions staff are graduating this year as well! Congrats to Kaitlin Prieto, also graduating with her MA from Steinhardt, and Billy Sichel and Jenny McMahon, who are graduating with their MBAs from the Stern School of Business.
A big congratulations to all of our graduating student ambassadors, Andy, Anthony, Bailey, Caitlin, Camaley, Caroline, Christopher, Courtney, Didier, Dilyn, Dominic, Erin, Ilana, Ilse, Jamiee, Jeremy, Jessica, Jillian, Joe, Jules, Kate, Lauren, Liana, Lindsay, LV, Lydia, Madeline, Masha, Natalie, Nicole, Nikita, Paul, Pilar, Rosa, Ryan, Samir, Sarah, Sarah, Sarah, Shannon, Sol, Spiro, Stephen, Strickland, Taylor, Ty, Tyler, Zach, and Zarin.
